James L. Gillies. A graduate of Stanford University and University of California, Hastings College of Law, Jim has handled litigation and transactional work in many fields of law high profile personal injury claims for nearly 35 years. These have included hundreds of personal injury and tort claims, including automobile accidents, wrongful death cases, severe spinal cord injuries (including paralysis) and closed head injury matters, among others.
Jim serves as corporate counsel for companies ranging from residential and commercial construction to GPS manufacturers. Originally practicing in Los Angeles and then Denver, Jim has represented many manufacturers and other defendants in these cases for over a decade, so he is well-versed in the ins and outs of how to deal with insurance companies and assist small and large companies — and with how insurance companies value cases. Since 1997, Jim has recovered well over $10,000,000 for his clients, aggressively representing victims in personal injury accidents.
Jim also practices frequently in the areas of corporate/business formation, estate planning, probate, and real estate.
Jim has been married for 35 year and has two children. He values family above everything and loves to travel and cook. He is also an avid Denver Nuggets fan and long-suffering NY Jets and Knicks fan
